Supported Independent Living

24/7 support in the participant's own home, built around their routines, goals and choices.

Respite & short stays

Short-term accommodation that gives participants a change of scene and families a genuine break.

Community access

1:1 support to get out — shopping, sport, the gym, appointments and catching up with people who matter.

How we work

We're small on purpose. Every participant gets a team that knows them, and every coordinator gets reporting they can actually use.

Their life, their call

Participants direct their own day. We offer choices, give notice before changes and support people to do things themselves.

Trauma-informed by default

Safety, predictability and honesty in every interaction — and staff trained in each person's behaviour support plan before their first shift.

A consistent team

Rosters built around the participant, with new workers introduced properly — not a rotating door of strangers.

Reporting you can rely on

Clear progress reports mapped to goals, every statement traceable to shift notes, and restrictive practices documented exactly as authorised.

Life with Kookaburra

Support isn't just what happens at home. It's game nights, days out and the things people choose to do with their week.
